NearMe Is Recommended for Traveling from Haneda Airport to Tsukiji

There’s no direct train or bus from Haneda Airport to Tsukiji, making it an area that can be a bit hard to access.
- Too much luggage and transferring is a hassle
- Traveling with children and want to move around as easily as possible
- Anxious about unfamiliar train lines
If any of this sounds like you, why not try NearMe, which offers affordable door-to-door travel? Here’s a detailed look at how to book NearMe and its benefits.
How to Book NearMe
NearMe is a fully reservation-based service. Book through the official website or the app by 6 p.m. the day before your ride.
When booking, enter your destination, airport departure time, number of bags, and other details. The first checked bag per person is free, and each additional bag costs an extra ¥1,000, so be sure to enter this information.
Once you’ve entered the necessary information, the AI will display the optimal route. Check the displayed travel time and fare. Fares vary significantly depending on how high the share ratio is with other passengers and whether you book up to 30 days in advance.
Select the ride you want and make a provisional reservation, and you’ll be notified within 24 hours whether the ride is confirmed. Since dispatch can be difficult during busy times, it’s best to book early. If your ride can’t be arranged, change the time and make a provisional reservation again.
Once you receive confirmation, your reservation is complete. Check the vehicle information sent to you by 6 p.m. the day before your ride, and head to the pickup location.
Benefits of NearMe
There are three main benefits to using NearMe from Haneda Airport to Tsukiji.
- Door-to-door at a lower cost than a taxi
- Faster travel than train or bus
- You can set any destination you like
Let’s look at each in detail.
Door-to-Door at a Lower Cost Than a Taxi
There’s no direct public transportation to Tsukiji, so if you want door-to-door travel, your choice is between a taxi or NearMe.
With NearMe’s flat per-person fare, even a single traveler can use door-to-door service at a lower price. Applying early-bird or share discounts makes it even more affordable.
Faster Travel Than Train or Bus
Trains and buses are cheap, but transfers make the route longer and more time-consuming. With NearMe, you can travel directly from Haneda Airport to Tsukiji, saving time.
Even if the vehicle stops by other passengers’ destinations along the way, it’s still comfortable since you can relax in your seat without any transfers.
You Can Set Any Destination You Like
NearMe doesn’t have fixed stops — you can set any destination you like. This means you could stop by a hotel to drop off luggage before heading to the Tsukiji Outer Market, or go straight to a friend’s home in the Tsukiji area.
There’s no need to carry heavy luggage from a station or bus stop.
Conclusion

There are four ways to get from Haneda Airport to Tsukiji: train, bus, taxi, and NearMe. Trains and buses require transfers and take a somewhat roundabout route compared to taxis or NearMe. A taxi lets you travel the shortest distance, but the high fare is a drawback.
With NearMe, even a solo traveler can get to Tsukiji affordably. Plus, since you can travel directly to any location you like while seated, it’s ideal when you have a lot of luggage or are traveling with family.
