If You’re Heading to Haneda Airport, NearMe Is a Great Option Too!

If you’re heading to Haneda Airport, we recommend NearMe, which takes you there directly from wherever you like, with no transfers. Here’s an overview of NearMe, along with its rates and benefits.

Overview

NearMe is a service operated by NearMe Inc. that picks you up and takes you directly to your destination. Unlike a regular taxi, you ride together with other passengers, allowing for a lower price.

You also don’t need to head to a designated stop like you would for a train or bus — you can be picked up from wherever you like. It’s a smooth way to get to the airport, even if you have heavy luggage or are traveling with children.

NearMe currently offers two riding options to suit your needs.

① Door-to-door: We’ll pick you up right in front of “wherever you like” — your home, a hotel, your workplace, and more. This is ideal when you have heavy luggage or when the weather is bad.

② NearMe Spot: With this plan, you gather at a “virtual stop” near a designated station. In exchange for a short walk to the stop, you get an even better rate than door-to-door service!

There might be a spot near your nearest station too. New spots are continually being added near major stations, including Jiyugaoka, Sangenjaya, Gakugei-daigaku, Seijogakuen-mae, Nakameguro, and Komazawa-daigaku-mae.

How to Use It and Rates

NearMe operates on a fully reservation-based system, so be sure to book by 6:00 PM the day before you plan to travel. From the official website, enter your pickup location, number of passengers, and time to check your route and fare.

Benefits of NearMe

NearMe offers three main benefits:

  • Door-to-door travel from wherever you like
  • Peace of mind with a fully reservation-based system
  • Convenient for family or group travel

Let’s take a closer look at each.

Door-to-door travel from wherever you like

NearMe has no fixed stops like buses or trains. You can designate wherever you like as your pickup spot — in front of your home, a nearby park, your accommodation, your workplace, and more. Since you barely need to carry your luggage anywhere, you can travel to the airport comfortably.

Peace of mind with a fully reservation-based system

While airport limousine buses let you sit down for the ride to the airport, many routes can’t be reserved in advance. That means you have to head to the bus stop early and secure a seat yourself.

With NearMe’s fully reservation-based system, all you need to do on the day is head to the meeting spot at your scheduled time. You can relax and sit comfortably all the way to the airport.

Convenient for family or group travel

Since the shuttles use large vehicles like the Toyota HiAce and Alphard, the interior is spacious. Also, children ride at half the adult fare, and lap infants ride free. There’s also a ¥500 per-person discount for groups of three or more, making it a great option for family or group travel.

Conclusion

Haneda Airport is home to distinctive cafés, including ones with views of planes, ones that use carefully selected beans, and collaboration cafés. By checking out the cafés that match what you’re looking for ahead of time, you can make the most of any downtime at the airport.

Also, when heading to Haneda Airport, we recommend NearMe, which offers door-to-door transportation. You can travel comfortably from your home to the airport with no transfers. Be sure to keep this in mind for your next trip.
