TYO-NRT

TYO-NRT is a shuttle bus service jointly operated by eight companies, including Tokyo Shuttle and THE Access Narita.

The fare is ¥1,000 one way. Being able to travel between Tokyo Station and Narita Airport for just ¥1,000 is an incredible deal.

There are six boarding points: Tokyo Station, Ginza Station, Kajibashi Parking, Oedo Onsen, Shinonome Bus Depot, and Shinonome Aeon. The trip from Tokyo Station to Narita Airport Terminal 1 takes about 1 hour and 10 minutes. Since boarding points are limited, anyone active outside central Tokyo will need to transfer via train. Also, because Tokyo Shuttle is used by many people, note that going without a reservation may mean you can’t board the bus at your desired time.

Buses from Ginza Station to Narita Airport run twice an hour, at :00 and :30, from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM, plus one departure at 6:00 PM.

Buses from Narita Airport to Ginza Station depart Terminal 3 boarding point 1 at :15 past the hour, with the last bus at 6:15 PM.

From Terminal 3 boarding point 2, buses run twice an hour, at :10 and :40, from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the last bus at 10:40 PM.

Precautions When Using the Bus Between Narita Airport and Ginza

Here are a few things to keep in mind when using the bus between Narita Airport and Ginza.

Precaution 1: Don’t Mistake the Bus Stop Location

Be careful not to mistake the location of the bus stop.

This is a different boarding point from the former “Tokyo Shuttle” and “THE Access Narita,” so anyone who used those services before should take note.

Here’s an easy way to find the boarding point.

Exit Tokyo Metro Ginza Station via Exit C4, turn left, then turn left again at the police box. Continue straight and you’ll see the boarding point. Look for the blue boarding point signage as a landmark.

Precaution 2: Crowding on the Day

Be mindful of how crowded the bus is on the day of travel.

The shuttle bus from Ginza to Narita Airport has all-unreserved seating, so depending on how crowded it is on the day, you might not be able to board.
